Sophie Lichaba (formerly Sophie Ndaba; born on 15 July 1972; née Mphasane) is an award-winning South African actress. She is one of the South African female celebrities who were able to conquer challenges on their way and make a name for themselves.
She is also confident in what she can offer and her life skills which have been an edge for her over competitions. She captured the mind of television viewers after she was cast on the popular series in the country Generations.

Little wonder she played the role of a twenty-year-old Queen Moraka in the popular drama series Generations. She has also landed other notable roles in several movies including She is King and Gog’ Hellen.
She had her high school education in Zimbabwe after which she became a model.

In 2016, she was one of the judges presiding over the Miss South Africa beauty pageant finals. Sophie is also good in other professions including event organizing, motivational speaking, and MCing.

She was married to Themba Ndaba in 1998 and together the couple had two (2) children; Rudo and Lwandle. Unfortunately, their marriage was called a quit in 2007 after lasting for nine years. In 2017, she got married to Max Lichaba, a businessperson.
Apart from being an actress, she is a proud mother of two (2) big girls and a young man. Yea! You read right, the actress has given birth to three children; Rudo, Shallon, and Lwadle Ndaba.
Shallon is her niece who she adopted after the demise of her sister Tiny Mphasane.
Though the much-loved actress in the country has diabetes, she doesn’t allow it to come between her and her career. Rather, she made a vow to combat it with all she’s got in an IG post, and trust me she is.
She also says in writing that she is a self-proclaimed ambassador to everyone that is fighting a terminal illness.
The actress has gained popularity and presence for being a cast on Generation. On the SABC1 soap opera, she plays the role of Queen Moroka.
Her first television appearance was with the series Class of ’92. After which other acting opportunities followed, she landed acting roles in Thlaranthlophe, and Yizo Yizo 1.
Both viewers and producers started to fall in love with her acting style. The next role in acting was in Egoli and Soul City.
She then recorded her big break in the entertainment industry after she cast in the popular Mzansi series Generations. The actress’s talent has been her guide in the industry since she did not undergo formal training in acting.
In 2015, she landed a role on High Rollers and was cast as Harried on the SABC3 casino telenovela. In the year that followed, 2016, she landed another acting role on another popular TV series. On the show Isidingo, she was cast as Nkadimeng.
Her amazing performance has started to gain recognition. She received a nomination in the Duku Duku Awards in 2002 for the Best Soap Actress.
In the next year, she took home the award and also received a nomination for the Most Stylish Actress in the Elle/Sunday Times Style Awards (2003).
Another nomination came with the following year, 2004) for the Best Soap Actress at the Children’s M-Net Awards. She is also a voice-over artist and has done for several cartoon characters on TV commercials.
