The Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria proudly announces the launch of an inclusive scholarship program aimed at providing equitable educational opportunities.

With a commitment to fairness and inclusivity, this scholarship is open to Foursquare members and students from diverse ethnic backgrounds across Nigeria, embodying the church’s dedication to social development.

Objectives

The Foursquare National Scholarship is designed to address the educational needs of financially disadvantaged students, facilitating access to quality education regardless of economic limitations.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the undergraduate Foursquare National Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Financial Need: Applicants must demonstrate clear, verifiable proof of financial inability to meet educational expenses.
  2. Educational Institution: Only students enrolled in Federal or State universities, polytechnics, and tertiary institutions are eligible. Secondary school applicants must be enrolled in a State-owned institution, including McPherson University.
  3. Academic Performance: Undergraduate applicants from 200 level and above must have a minimum of Second Class Upper with a cumulative CGPA of 3.5/5 and provide duly certified statement of results. Secondary school applicants (SS1 – SS3) must have a minimum cumulative percentage of 80% in previous sessional examinations.
  4. Age Limit: Undergraduates must not be older than 27 years, and secondary school students must not exceed 20 years of age.

Renewal Criteria

University undergraduates must maintain a minimum of Second Class Upper division, while secondary school students must maintain a minimum cumulative percentage of 70% to renew the scholarship award.

Available Programs

Students from all recognized public universities and McPherson University pursuing accredited courses are eligible to apply, provided they meet the scholarship requirements.

The Foursquare National Scholarship covers full educational expenses until graduation, contingent upon maintaining the required academic performance.

Applicants for the 2024 Foursquare National Scholarship must submit the following documents:

  1. Scholarship motivation letter
  2. WAEC result (for fresh undergraduates only)
  3. JAMB and Post JAMB results (for fresh undergraduates only)
  4. Admission letter (for fresh undergraduates only)
  5. Result of previous academic session (for current undergraduates)
  6. Completed online application form
  7. Birth certificate
